If you have had a meditation or nighttime dream of your death or death in general do not be alarmed, especially recently. If you have dreamed of death of yourself it often symbolizes something other than the actual event of your physical death. We think about, and have been trained to understand death, as a frightening event that does not have protocols or stages within it. The events and experiences leading to death, and transitions that occur through this state and after passing over, are significantly profound and do have stages of experiences. 

Clearly, we would agree dreaming of death; especially our own death is symbolic of a transformation of your spirit and psyche and may also impact your physical body and emotions. However, beyond this, dreaming or having a meditation that indicates this process, can be precognitive about the events we are going through in our life at the time. Dreaming or having a meditation about death is about going to another, deeper level. This may be about the experiences you are having now. Alternatively this may be a message that you are on the precipice of this process. Dreaming about death is considered a birth into a new way of being and a new form. Often this kind of dream is considered to be a shamanic passage or birth into another state of being. 

Although each person may have a different experience or vision of the circumstances regarding events, visions, feelings and awareness, each experience is profoundly meaningful.
